Wiccan Signs & Symbols

The Triquetra comes to us from the ancient Celtic peoples as a symbol of connection between the three aspects of the Goddess in her three forms as Maiden, Mother and Crone. This sacred Pagan symbol has been found in stone carvings all over Northern Europe and on some of the earliest coins from Germany.

The seven-pointed Fairy star, often spelled Faerie, is the symbol of Faerie Wicca, which draws on the traditions based in Celtic, Irish and Gaelic mythology. One such Celtic myth is that of an ancient fairy race, the Tuatha De Dannan.

The Triple Moon Goddess symbol is the Wiccan symbol of the Goddess in her three forms as Maiden, Mother and Crone. The waxing moon, the full moon, and the waning moon represent the three aspects of the goddess, usually associated with Hecate or the three aspects of Brighid, known as the Morrigan.

The Pentacle, also known as a pentagram, is the most recognized Wiccan symbol. Its five points represent the four elements, fire, water, earth and air, along with the fifth sacred element spirit. It is also an ancient goddess symbol, based on the path the planet Venus traces every eight years.
